I missed you my dear brethren. How have you been? I know the world seems to have gone stark raving mad, but the Holy Spirit promises to encourage us in the days ahead. Jehovah Productions will also continue to bring you the Living Word which will be a lifter of your head. Have you got your copy of the book: "Drawing Near," by John Bevere? Get it ! Let's get started. Holy God, Creator of all things, we come to You with praise on our lips. Praise You, King Jesus! You are worthy to receive glory, honor and praise. You are powerful, righteous and merciful. Praise You ! You are beautiful, good and forgiving. Praise You! You are wise, loving and holy. Praise You! Glorious One, You are Love, there is none like You. Please help us to know that we know, how great Your love is towards us. Help us to love You in return. With all that is within us. And with all that is within us..we praise You! AMEN.
God desires intimacy.7 So place yourselves under God's authority. Resist the devil, and he will run away from you. 8 Come close to God, and he will come close to you. Clean up your lives, you sinners, and clear your minds, you doubters. 9 Be miserable, mourn, and cry. Turn your laughter into mourning and your joy into gloom. 10 Humble yourselves in the Lord's presence. Then he will give you a high position.
James 4:7-10 (GW)
The children of Israel had it harsh in Egypt. Moses was treated like a king. Yet, Israel wanted to go back to Egypt when things got hard for them in the desert. Although Moses was treated like royalty...he never looked back. Why? Moses dared to draw near to God, but Israel did not. They did not want to change. Drawing near to God meant killing their flesh (selfishness, pride etc). That is what happens when you come in contact with the Living God. When God shows up, you have a choice: humble yourself; repent; worship or get your neck all stiff and say to yourself: "I enjoy my rulership and flesh the way it is...thank you very much." THEY WANTED THE BLESSINGS OF GOD, BUT NOT THE BLESSER !!
Moses longed for God regardless of the cost to his fleshly desires. He considered the cost. Likewise, Jesus also tells us to consider the cost before we make Him Lord and submit to His kingdom. It will cost us everything.
26 If any man come to me, and shall not hate his own father and mother, and wife, and children, and brothers, and sisters, yea, and his own life too, he cannot be my disciple; 27 and whoever does not carry his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple. 28 For which of you, desirous of building a tower, does not first sit down and count the cost, if he have what is needed to complete it; 29 in order that, having laid the foundation of it, and not being able to finish it, all who see it do not begin to mock at him, 30 saying, This man began to build and was not able to finish? Luke 14:26-30.This is a message that we need to share with all who are born again from above, or desire to be. Moses got it. Drawing near to God was like breathing air....God was his all, his everything. During this message, we will discover together the secret of Moses.
Israel did not want to trust God and wait (patience) for their creature comforts (faith). Remember, with faith and patience, we inherit the promises of God. They made the arm of their flesh, god. "Not by might or power (fleshly strength to gain desires and provisions), but by my Spirit saith the Lord." (Zechariah 4:6) Moses surely had faith. The kind of faith that drew him near the holy mountain of God which shook; displayed flashes of lightnings and roared with ear splitting thunder which caused even the smoke (covering God's glory) to shake, rattle and roll. That is where rock and roll first started. OK, just kidding. But faith was not the only thing that Moses possessed which would cause him to courageously want to look in God's face. What was that thing that set him apart? Let's go deeper. Could it be love? Whoops, now the cat is out of the bag.
To trust God for His promises to be fulfilled (faith), we must have love. Remember, faith works by love. Love is put into motion by complete surrender and obedience to God. Yes, we will never get away from the message of obedience. It's footprints are all over the Good Book. Think about it. Isn't obedience something you do unto your Lord? That is what makes Him Lord, King and God. The verse where Jesus said, "If you love Me then you will be obedient,"always used to bother me. I would think, "How in the world can I be obedient? How can I love God, whom I can't see?" So many people today (church people), try very hard in their own strength, to obey and do good works. But the power and glory of God isn't evident. So, obedience is not the only sign that shows a person loves God. I am not contradicting the Word. I am just saying that another ingredient is missing. Jesus said it Himself, if we dare to listen. If you love me....
Hang in there my dear ones, the secret of Moses is about to be revealed in all it's glory.(no pun intended)
The Old Testament (covenant) presents types, shadows and examples for us to live by today. Egypt represents the worlds way of doing things. Just like the deliverance of Israel from Egypt, we too are delivered from the worlds way of doing things, as we put our trust in Jesus, Son of God. Just like Israel, we too thirst for the promised land. The blessings and presence of God. But, before Israel was to inherit the land flowing with milk and honey, they were told to go into the desert and worship God.(exodus 7:16)
16Then say to him, ‘The Lord, the God of the Hebrews, has sent me to say to you: Let my people go, so that they may worship me in the desert. But until now you have not listened.
From this verse we can safely surmise the following: God wants intimacy with us. When we are born from above and brought out from the worlds(Egypt) way of doing things, then we can love and worship the Lord our God. May I throw a bunny trail on you my most precious soldiers? We will get back to the secret of Moses shortly. It's all good.
10And the Lord said to Moses, “Go to the people and consecrate them today and tomorrow. Have them wash their clothes 11and be ready by the third day, because on that day the Lord will come down on Mount Sinai in the sight of all the people.(Exodus 19:1o,11)
This is so important to understand since we are at the threshold of the Third and Seventh Day. From previous studies, we have discovered that a day to the Lord is like a thousand years. Let's map this out together since we are talking about two time frames. Four thousand years transpired from creation to the birth of the Awesome One. Since then, two thousand years have come and gone. This gives us a total of six thousand years since creation. Let's diagnose the finish of both. The Seventh Day: God created for six days then He rested. We are about to step into the beginning of the Seventh Day. It will begin with the catching away of the Church. Then seven years of tribulation for those left behind, the pouring out of God's wrath. Jesus returns (with His True sons and daughters..that is us). He sets up His Kingdom here on earth for a thousand years(that is the seventh day...peace on earth under the rule of Jesus. That completes the shadow of the rest of God after six days of creation) After that, we step into blissful eternity with our God and Maker. Forever to be with our hero and champion, King Jesus. This is the part where you shout and give thanks to the Lord.
The Third Day: we are now walking in the shadow of the Third Day. The beginning of the third thousand year period since Jesus was raised from the dead and seated Himself at the right hand of the Father. What is about to happen? Much of it is about the same as the beginning of the Seventh Day because they are really one in the same, except for a few distinctions. At the end of the second day and beginning of the Third, God's Glory is going to fill the earth. This happens before the rapture of the Church. This is fantastic news because it gives us great hope in this world which seems to be self destructive. I know that sometimes you look around and wonder if God has forgotten about us. Sometimes, you might even think that there are no other believers anywhere to be found. Evil is getting worse (as the Word predicted), but trust me, God does have for Himself a remnant of worshippers and He is about to add to it. When His Glory fills the earth (through us, his holy temples) there is going to be the greatest Holy Ghost camp meetings you could imagine. God wants as many saved as possible before He pours out His wrath on all of mankind. During the past two thousand years ( or the time since you have been born from above), have you been worshipping the Lord as He commanded? The other distinction is this: God has been sanctifying His Bride for two thousand years (since it's inception). He is really picking up the pace here lately, can you feel it? He is about to appear to His people. Just like He told Moses. Jump for joy dear ones, God is about to show up. PRAISE HIM !
Wow ! That was some bunny trail to say the least. But the Holy Spirit wanted us to know this again for our encouragement. Let's get back to Moses and his secret. The secret which caused him to draw near to the Lord. It wasn't just his great faith. It was also his love walk. But not just any type of love walk. Many of us have what he possessed, faith and love. Many of us are surrendered to the Lord God Almighty. Many of us worship Him, we adore Him, we thirst for Him. Yet still, there is a pearl of great price which is about to be revealed. One which will take us to a place just like Moses and beyond. Are you ready for it? Not just yet my dearly beloved. Not yet. First let's examine what happened to Moses when God came down to visit with the people on the Third Day. Remember though, the children of Israel did not follow Moses up to the top of Mount Sinai that day. Moses alone went to meet with God face to face.
Uh oh. I feel another bunny trail coming on. The Word of God says that no man can see God and live. Yet, Moses wanted to see His face. During this real cool time for Moses, God did just what His Word said. He wouldn't show him His face. He hid Moses in the cleft of the rock and let him see His back side. All of who God is advanced before Moses (his back was turned). Then God let Moses see his back side. But even that part of God was enough to impart to Moses all the things he wrote about in the Old Testament. Just that glimpse of where God had been, showed Moses all about how to build the Tabernacle, how to write down all the blessings and curses, the set up of all the feasts, the jobs of the priesthood, the Law and so much more. Something else that encounter did.....It made the face of Moses shine like the sun. Oh boy, we are so close to the secret of Moses.
He alone has endless life and lives in inaccessible light. No one has ever seen him, nor can anyone see him. Honor and eternal power belong to him! Amen. I Timothy 6:16.
Yet, we (and the whole earth) will soon see a glimpse of His glory and not die. How can that be possible? It will be filtered through the Mercy Seat of Christ. The Mercy Seat which His precious blood spilled upon, in the heavenlies, flowing from Mount Calvary. That same blood is on the Mercy Seat of your heart, if you believe. That blood makes you the righteousness of God, in Christ Jesus. Moses did not have that sinless blood to filter out the Glory of God. We do my dear ones. And that Day Star is arising in our hearts even now. It is getting brighter and brighter.
Let's talk about the face of Moses for a moment. When Moses came down from Mount Sinai with the two tablets of the Testimony in his hands, he was not aware that his face was radiant because he had spoken with the LORD. Exodus 34:29.
The ministry that brought death was inscribed on stone. Yet, it came with such glory that the people of Israel couldn't look at Moses' face. His face was shining with glory, even though that glory was fading. 8Won't the ministry that brings the Spirit have even more glory? 9If the ministry that brings punishment has glory, then the ministry that brings God's approval has an overwhelming glory. 10In fact, the ministry that brings punishment lost its glory because of the superior glory of the other ministry. 11If that former ministry faded away despite its glory, how much more does that ministry which remains continue to be glorious?
12Since we have confidence [in the new promise], we speak very boldly. 13We are not like Moses. He kept covering his face with a veil. He didn't want the people of Israel to see the glory fading away. 14However, their minds became closed. In fact, to this day the same veil is still there when they read the Old Testament. It isn't removed, because only Christ can remove it. 15Yet, even today, when they read the books of Moses, a veil covers their minds. 16But whenever a person turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 17This Lord is the Spirit. Wherever the Lord's Spirit is, there is freedom. 18As all of us reflect the Lord's glory with faces that are not covered with veils, we are being changed into his image with ever-increasing glory. This comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.II Corinthians 3:7-18.
As we can see from the above verses, the Glory of the New Covenant will be far superior than that of the Old. Moses gave us a shadow of things to come. Even Father Abraham's stories are shadows of things that were fulfilled in the New Covenant and are coming true today. For example: He showed us that to walk in the fear of the Lord, we must be obedient. God said that He knew Abraham feared Him as he was set to sacrifice his son Isaac. God's Word says that the fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom. We are hearing more and more about Moses and Abraham in these days. It would be wise to adhere to and meditate on such things. Even Glenn Beck (whom I believe is a watchman sent from the Lord) is proclaiming from the watchtower many things he is hearing from God. Things about Jesus; Moses; Abraham and even John, who announced: "Repent, for the Kingdom of God is at hand." And it surely is.
God began to teach these things to my wife and I about 8 years ago. We dared to have faith. We dared to worship the Lord. We dared to operate in the secret of Moses (which is still coming). We dared to approach God regardless of the cost to our flesh. And you know what? We would often times (and we still do, and with greater intensity) come away with our faces glowing, just like Moses. We would proclaim to each other: "Hey Moses! How you doing?"
Drum roll please. Now....THE SECRET OF MOSES. The thing he possessed which caused him to dare ask to approach the One who dwells in unapproachable light. The ingredient he added to his faith, worship and self denial can be summed up in the following verse. "For God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son. Whomever believes in Him should not perish, but obtain eternal life." John 3:16. The key which unlocks the secret is found in the part where we discover that God loves us. Let's break that down a little further then we will be finished. Thank you so much for riding this spiritual stream all the way to the finish line.
It is one thing to quote to your self and others that God loves you. It is an entirely different thing to really, really know it. It has to get deep into your heart. When you do, then you can better love and worship Him in return. Then you are one with Him and really have something powerful to give away to others. Remember the song: "The Circle of Life," from the movie: "The Lion King?" Here is a new song for you. It is called: "The Circle of Love." Love is complete when it is received by both parties.Let's look at a few verses which will help you realize God's great and passionate love for you. But before we do, consider this: God loves you as much as He does His own Son. Before you cast stones on little ole Kenny G., think about it. Do you not suppose that Jesus is Father God's prized possession? Hang with me soldiers ! When you go to the market to barter, do you not give your money in exchange for something that you deem more valuable? Of course you do. God bought you with a price. That price was the blood of His Beloved. He just had to have you for His own. Case closed.
Try it out. Worship the Lord. If you do not yet have an intimate relationship with the Lord Jesus, then by all means, ask Him to come into your heart...do it now. If you have sins to confess and receive forgiveness for...then repent. Now, humble yourself under the mighty hand of God in praise and worship. As you do, meditate on the following verses which will help you see His great love for you. Make them your own. Love Him, meditate, worship...praise Him. As a side note. Maybe some of you are like me. I have a hard time receiving love. From God or others. Let's pray together that the Holy Spirit will teach us to receive the love of God into our hearts. After all, that is what our Father God yearns for. The devil is good at condemning you for past, or present, sins and iniquity. The Word says that if we repent and ask for forgiveness, the blood of Jesus cleanses us of all sin. God removes them as far as the east is from the west. I think the part of God's love we need to receive is His great mercy.
17How precious to me are your thoughts, O God!
How vast is the sum of them!
18Were I to count them,
they would outnumber the grains of sand.Psalms 139:17-18.
15“Can a mother forget the baby at her breast
and have no compassion on the child she has borne?
Though she may forget,
I will not forget you!
16See, I have engraved you on the palms of my hands. Isaiah 49:15,16.
Are you ready? Go to the mirror and take a good look at your face which God's thinks is beautiful indeed. Say it ! Don't be shy. Say it! "HEY MOSES ! HOW YOU DOING ?"
Boy, this one took a lot out of me, but the supply of the Spirit never ends. Give me an AMEN !
